3-Zone Mitsubishi Electric Ductless Cooling and Heating Installation
Problem
Originally, Mary & Steven had only an electric baseboard and a coal stove to heat their two-story home. In the winter, the couple’s coal stove supplemented the electric baseboard to effectively heat the massive house, but the fact that coal isn’t a clean burning heat source made it difficult to enjoy. During the summer, the couple had no air conditioning system due to the fact that they had no ductwork in their home. After spending a year researching their options, the couple was ready to move forward with their decision: a centralized, ductless heat pump from Goodco.
Solution
Once the Good Guys heard Mary & Steven’s concerns and based on the size of their home, the team decided to install a 3-zone Mitsubishi Electric Hyper-Heat Heat Pump. This system can effectually heat the couple’s home while also providing air conditioning without the need to install any expensive ductwork.
The Story
Mary & Steven’s two-story home in Port Matilda had an electric baseboard and a coal stove with no air conditioning system. Their electric heat proved to be a challenge in the winter, as baseboard heaters are expensive to run, and they take up valuable floor space in any home. Not to mention, they are inefficient when it comes to heating as they only radiate so far, leaving other areas in the home feeling cold. Using electric heat caused a huge spike in the homeowners’ energy bills during those frigid winter months, which is why they installed a coal stove.
